Deposit Services Specialist I - Maintenance and Verification

divh2Bank Operations Position/h2pLocation: 324 North 4th Street Indiana, PA 15701/ppHours: Monday - Friday 8AM-5PM (Additional hours as necessary to meet the objectives of the department)/ppFunction: Performs various duties in the Banks Operations area in support of Retail and other divisions daily business interactions./ppDuties and Responsibilities:/ppAssumes direct responsibility for performing all of the following duties at a fully functional level:/pulliDeposit Services Responsibilities are broken into three pods, Consumer Documents, Non-Consumer Documents, and Maintenance Support, whom all are responsible for the following:/liliPerforms requested account and customer maintenance changes to all deposit accounts and customer records to include account type changes, and IFMS transfer set-ups./liliMaintains processes to comply with IRS, OH State regulations and PA State regulations, such as escheat and B Notice and C Notice activities./liliReviews various reports to ensure account accuracy and compliance with IRS, Red Flag and CIP regulations./liliPerforms requested account and customer address maintenance changes (i.e. deposit, loan, card base, etc.), in special circumstances, while maintaining compliance with Red Flag and CIP regulations./liliReviews special accounts (i.e. marketing promotional club products) joining or exiting to maintain discount codes and qualifying membership features. Notification of appropriate ancillary areas./liliPerforms changes to account level addresses and deposit system coding for returned mail as requested/liliProcesses deposit account documentation, including signature cards, corporate resolutions, trust agreements, etc. to ensure accuracy and completeness, as well as meeting legal and regulatory guidelines./liliVerifies all new deposit account system coding as well as customer level and account level customer information./liliUpdates the deposit system Exception Report and CIP Exception Report for branch notification of deposit account documentation exceptions as well as CIP exceptions./liliIndexes deposit account documentation in Optima including signature cards, resolutions, trust agreements, power of attorney, etc. to ensure accurate keywords are assigned to enable the retrieval of these documents in the future./liliValidates deposit account documentation was imported into Optima and able to be retrieved./liliValidates retirement documentation was imported into Optima and able to be retrieved./liliAssists in handling branch inquiries and resolving exceptions./liliAssists in training branch personnel to handle Deposit Account and CIS issues./liliTrains new department employees as needed on all aspects of specific operations functions./liliProcesses Household maintenance requests./liliAssumes other departmental duties to include answering telephones and taking messages./liliReceives, screens, and distributes mail and internal correspondence./liliMaintains a good working relationship with bank employees. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently, as well as motivated to work as a team player to contribute to the success of the department and in turn, the organization./liliPerforms additional duties as required./li/ulpEducation: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent basic academic education./ppExperience: Requires one year of general experience./ppPhysical Demands: Operates a keypad device 80-90% throughout the day. Operates electronic/office equipment 0-10% throughout the day. The primary parts of the body involved in performing these task are the fingers, thumb, hand, wrist and elbows, legs, feet, lower torso, and upper torso. Reaching above the shoulders, bending, twisting is 20*30% of the day. Sitting is required 90-100% of the day. Standing is 0-10% of the day. Walking is 0-10% of the day.
