Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical Surgical unit is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care to individuals in an acute medical setting. This involves monitoring patient progress, administering medications, and coordinating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessments, planning, and evaluation of care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor and manage patient conditions, ensuring timely interventions as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Medical Surgical nursing.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Current NIHSS certification.
