Senior Software Engineer (Java)
Location: Durham, NC, Jersey City NJ, Remote till covid
Duration: 12+ months
Job Description:
- Actively developed solutions on projects using Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC and ORM technologies.
- Designed and developed various SOA solutions using SOAP and REST.
- Experience of messaging frameworks such as Kafka, Solace and JMS.
- Proven hands-on experience working with cloud migration and implementation of various tools on compute, network, and storage.
- Expertise in IAAS, PAAS, AWS EC2, S3, AWS Batch, IAM and cloud resources.
- Experience with serverless architecture and docker containerization.
- Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
- Expertise in developing and consuming APIs and micro-services to facilitate data access, business logic and workflows.
- Experience with relational databases, NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge in Unix/Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
Engineering Leadership:
- Actively participate solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
- Investigating problem areas and following the software development lifecycle.
- Documenting and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.
- Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
