Overview:
Have you worked in plastics manufacturing? This position is responsible for the setup and operation of extrusion equipment that produces color concentrates.
1st shift: M-F 7a-3p2nd shift: M-F 3-11:30
3rd shift: M-F 11p-7a $20-22/hr
New Hope, MN
- Sets up, starts, and runs all machinery, checking all controls for adherence to operating/safety procedures and ISO standards
- Weighs ingredients to meet recipe specifications and inserts into machinery, or ensures correct ingredients are delivered to the work area and inserts pre-blended materials into machinery
- Monitors production and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation; troubleshoots equipment and processing issues
- Operates machinery to mix, extrude/discharge, or handle materials according to operating procedures
- Examines materials visually or physically to ensure conformance with established standards
- Performs all required machine cleaning
- Documents work completed as required, including logs, data reports, and procedures
Skills and Experience:
- GED or High School Diploma required
- Ability to read, follow, and accurately complete work instructions, recipes, and quality specifications
- Basic computer skills
- Previous experience in plastics manufacturing (1 year)
