Production Planner

Job Details Position: Production Planning Consultant. Salary: $50 - $75 per hour. Contract length: 2-4 months. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and manage production plans to meet company objectives. Collaborate with various departments such as procurement, engineering, and quality assurance to ensure a smooth production process. Analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency. Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Oversee warehouse management, ensuring optimal inventory levels, accurate record-keeping, and efficient space utilization. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for timely delivery of materials and equipment. Use APICS and ASCM principles to manage supply chain activities effectively. Conduct risk assessments and implement contingency plans to mitigate potential production disruptions. Generate regular reports on production status, highlighting any deviations from the plan. Train and mentor team members on production planning best practices and protocols. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum of 5 years' experience in production planning, preferably in the Energy industry. Proven experience with industrial machines and their operation. Certification in APICS, ASCM, CPIM, CSCP, Lean Six Sigma, and/or PMP is highly desirable. Proficient in Warehouse Management Systems and other relevant software. Strong understanding of supply chain processes, including procurement, production, and distribution. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders at all levels. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines. Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members. Commitment to adhering to all safety, health, and environmental policies and regulations.
