Job Title: Stepdown RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Stepdown Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years License: SC license or Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - First-time travelers not accepted - Required certifications: ACLS, BLS - Experience in patient ratios of 1:4 Description: Position: Stepdown RN. Shift: 3x12s, Nights, 7 PM - 7 AM, with holiday rotation. Patient ratios are 1:4. Weekend work is required, every other weekend. No on-call work is required. Travelers will need to float within their scope to meet facility needs. Same expectation applies as for current staff nurses. Agency will float first. All RTO must be included at the time of submission. Approval will be based on facility needs. Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. During this season, all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. Travelers should be aware of this requirement. Daily patient care involves adults and geriatrics. Facility highlights include a total of 12 staffed beds. Candidates must complete all compliance requirements before the start date. Modules are non-billable and average 4 hours. They are included in NBO hours and completed pre-start. All lab work must be finished within 72 hours of signing if within 90 days of the start date. If there are vacation plans during compliance, candidates must complete labs prior to departure. Submittal details are only subject to job board applications.
