Desert Sage OB/Gyn is looking for a Medical Assistant to join our team. The Medical Assistant will provide medical services to patients under the guidance of a physician.
The ideal person for this type of role is a good listener, outgoing and compassionate, organized and adaptable and an excellent problem solver. This vital role greets our patients, displays professionalism, and maintains confidentiality at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Provide patient-care services– Room patients, reconcile medical and prescription history.
- Support Physicians - Perform minor patient care issues such as as immunizations, injections, assisting with minor surgeries.
- Other duties: – Answer phones, take messages and report test results and respond to patient care issues in conjunction with the physician.
Requirements:
- Certified Medical Assistant Diploma
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team in a fast-paced environment
- Previous OB/Gyn experience is preferred
About Desert Sage OB/Gyn:
Desert Sage OB/Gyn is a smaller practice with an amazing team. We have been located at this location for over 16 years and our employee tenure is unmatched. Currently we are open Monday - Thursday with work hours from 7:30am - 5:30pm. Yes, 10 hour days, allowing for a four day work week and every weekend is a 3 day weekend. The benefits are amazing. All full time employees are offered excellent health dental and life insurance benefits. All full time employees are eligible for 401k and two weeks PTO to start. We are closed for all major holidays including New Year, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and your Birthday.
We are a fast paced practice with great staff and great patients. We look forward to meeting a well trained medical assistant with a positive attitude to join our office.
