Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $20.13 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon06:00 AM - 02:00 PMFri06:00 AM - 02:00 PMSat06:00 AM - 02:00 PMSun06:00 AM - 02:00 PM What You'll Do Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observed activity and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns. Monitor access points and public areas, verify authorized entry when required, and assist with directing foot traffic, answering questions, and supporting orderly operations during routine activity and/or special events. Support emergency and non-emergency response efforts by following post orders, contacting supervisors and/or first responders, and helping occupants follow site protocols during alarms, evacuations, and other unusual situations. Minimum Requirements At least 1 year of security-related experience is required. Must be 21+ years of age. Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
