Scheduled Hours40Position SummaryThe RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator supports hepatobiliary and GI surgical patients through coordination of care, patient education, and communication across multidisciplinary teams. This position blends outpatient clinic support with administrative coordination. The RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator works behind the scenes to ensure seamless patient care coordination, surgery scheduling, communication management, and clinical workflow support. This is a primarily administrative and patient coordination role, not a bedside nursing position.The Clinical Nurse Coordinator may spend a clinic day scheduling surgeries, educating patients on what to expect before and after procedures, and following up with patients who require additional support. Administrative days focus on responding to patient questions in the InBasket, preparing charts for future appointments, coordinating care tasks, and maintaining ongoing communication with the surgical team.Work/Life Balance: Monday–Friday schedule, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, with no weekends or callLocations: Barnes West County and Barnes-Jewish HospitalSetting: Combination of outpatient clinic and administrative coordinationFlexible Work Option: Eligible to work from home one day per week after 6 monthsMeaningful Work: Continued impact in patient care, primarily supporting oncology patientsTeam Structure: Small, collaborative team including 1 Registered Nurse, 1 Medical Assistant, and 1 Medical Secretary supporting 3 Surgeons and 4 APPsThe Clinical Nurse Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting patients through their surgical journey while maintaining a strong work/life balance.
