Job Responsibilities:

• Provide medical care to patients across all age groups in an urgent care setting.
• Perform various procedures including laceration repair, incision and drainage, and foreign body removal.
• Conduct diagnostic and point-of-care testing, including interpretation of X-rays and EKGs.
• Administer treatments such as nebulizer treatments and manage airway support as necessary.
• Manage patient flow efficiently during shifts, which may vary from 12 hours and longer based on demand.
• Document patient encounters using the Epic EMR system.

Qualifications:

• Board Certification in Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Active Virginia license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Registered DEA certification.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in emergency, primary care, or urgent care settings.
• Clean professional background with no malpractice or license issues.
