Lead Outpatient Pharmacist

Qualifications Degree : Bachelor of Pharmacy Years of Experience : Three (3) years of work experience Verbal and Written Communication : Above average verbal communication with heavy public contact; exceptional public speaking; proficiency in writing and correspondence; ability to produce reports Typical Duties Serve as Pharmacist-In-Charge (PIC), ensuring full compliance with Texas State Board of Pharmacy regulations and all legal requirements governing pharmacy operations. Promote and embody the mission, vision, and values of Harris Health and the Department of Pharmacy. Uphold and implement operational and administrative policies and procedures to maintain regulatory compliance and uphold organizational standards. Collaborate with pharmacy leadership to manage staff scheduling, ensuring optimal coverage and maintaining high standards for patient care and customer service. Oversee daily pharmacy operations in coordination with supervisors and managers, ensuring efficiency, safety, and excellence in service delivery. Ensure regulatory compliance and operational integrity of all Class A pharmacies under your supervision, meeting state and accreditation standards (e.g., TSBP, DNV). Foster effective interdepartmental collaboration by maintaining strong working relationships with hospital departments and pharmacy leadership. Support departmental consistency and operational alignment by maintaining close communication with other pharmacy supervisors and administrative leaders. Contribute to continuous improvement by developing operational enhancements, proposing practical solutions, and supporting innovation in pharmacy services. Support workforce development and retention efforts, offering input on hiring, onboarding, training, and professional growth opportunities for pharmacy staff. Participate in the development and delivery of education programs on appropriate medication use for pharmacists, technicians, healthcare providers, and trainees. Engage with professional organizations to stay informed on industry trends, standards, and emerging best practices, contributing to pharmacy advancement. Promote departmental achievements and best practices through written publications and oral presentations to enhance professional reputation and community trust.
