General Production WorkerThis contract role as a General Production Worker offers the opportunity to support metal prototyping and manufacturing operations in a clean, climate-controlled facility. You work a steady first shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, on a 13 month assignment with the potential for extension. In this position, you handle metal coils and sheets, operate production machinery, and help ensure that finished products meet quality and safety standards.ResponsibilitiesLoad metal coils onto manual or machine-assisted lifts in accordance with specified weight requirements.Safely handle and transport materials, performing manual lifting only for metal coils weighing less than 25 pounds.Untie and prepare metal coils for production, ensuring materials are ready for processing.Measure and cut metal sheets to required lengths based on work orders and production specifications.Feed material into production machinery and operate equipment using start and stop controls.Remove finished material from machines and use rollers to flatten and straighten products as needed.Monitor production processes to maintain quality, accuracy, and consistency throughout manufacturing.Complete required production documentation and accurately sign off on completed work.Allocate finished materials to appropriate staging, storage, or shipping locations.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all company safety procedures.Essential SkillsExperience in general labor or production work in a manufacturing or industrial environment.Ability to safely lift and handle materials, including manual lifting of metal coils weighing up to 25 pounds.Comfort operating or working around production machinery using basic start and stop controls.Attention to detail when measuring and cutting materials to meet work order specifications.Capability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete production documentation accurately.Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to established safety procedures.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in roles such as Production Associate, General Production Worker, or General Laborer.Experience working with metal materials or in a metal manufacturing or prototyping setting.Familiarity with forklifts or material-handling equipment is beneficial.Ability to work consistently on a first shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.Why Work Here?You join a professional manufacturing environment that values safety, cleanliness, and reliability.
