Pay Rate: $22.09 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service at a government location by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen visitors, staff, and/or personal belongings in accordance with post procedures and authorized access protocols for the location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details through proper channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, as assigned, while observing for conditions that could require security-related attention.
• Support access control operations by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and helping to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
