A top-tier National Property Management Company is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our apartment community in Clifton, NJ.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the day-to-day maintenance operations of the community, including service requests, preventative maintenance, property inspections, safety compliance, and resident customer service. This position works closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager to ensure the property is well-maintained and operating efficiently.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of the property's grounds, buildings, and common areas to ensure the community meets company standards.
• Complete resident service requests and general maintenance work accurately and within established timeframes.
• Respond professionally to resident concerns and complaints and follow through to ensure issues are satisfactorily resolved.
• Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes, efficiency, and quality of work.
• Coordinate and complete apartment unit turns to minimize vacancy time while maximizing the value and condition of the property.
• Implement appropriate risk mitigation procedures, including responding to emergencies and disasters when necessary.
• Maintain required inspection reports, service records, and related documentation.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company policies, safety standards, and OSHA guidelines.
• Participate in the property's emergency on-call rotation, as needed.
• Monitor, manage, and order maintenance supplies and inventory to ensure necessary materials are available.
• Perform snow removal as required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician in a residential apartment community is required.
• Strong mechanical and maintenance skills with the ability to respond effectively to a variety of property maintenance needs.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while also working effectively with the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager.
• Commitment to safe work practices and compliance with OSHA and company safety requirements.
