Service Desk Technician

Job Overview
West Central Technology is seeking Service Desk Technicians to join our growing team. This role is designed to scale based on experience and skill level, supporting both entry level (Level 1) and more advanced (Level 2) candidates.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will vary slightly based on experience level but may include:

• Provide technical support to end users and resolve IT related issues
• Escalate or collaborate with Field Engineers as needed
• Maintain and update client documentation
• Ensure internal systems contain accurate and up to date information
• Communicate with clients regarding updates, resolutions, and next steps
• Contribute to a positive and productive team environment
• Maintain certifications and pursue continued technical development
• Assist with maintaining organization and cleanliness of workspaces
• Perform other duties as required.

Skills and Qualifications
For Level 1 Candidates:

• Foundational knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and basic networking
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Organized and process oriented
• Willingness to learn and obtain certifications

For Level 2 Candidates:

• Deeper troubleshooting experience across systems, servers, and networks
• Ability to work more independently on complex issues
• Experience supporting business IT environments
• Relevant certifications or equivalent experience

General Requirements

• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly both verbal and written
• Ability to travel as needed
• Ability to work scheduled hours
• Familiarity with standard office equipment and tools

Compensation

Compensation is based on experience, skill level, and certifications. Both hourly and salary positions are available.
