This role focuses on preparing and finishing high-quality fireplaces, stoves, and hearth products within a production environment. You will apply wet paint and powder coat finishes, operate and clean painting equipment, and assist with basic part assembly to ensure products meet quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare fireplaces, stoves, and hearth products for painting by cleaning, masking, and ensuring surfaces are ready for coating.
- Perform basic wet paint application using spray painting techniques in an industrial setting.
- Apply powder coat finishes according to established specifications and quality standards.
- Operate, cycle, and monitor painting machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Clean and maintain spray guns, powder coating equipment, and related tools to ensure consistent performance.
- Inspect painted parts and finished products for coverage, quality, and defects, and make adjustments as needed.
- Assist with basic part assembly before and after the painting process as required.
- Follow production schedules and work instructions to meet daily output and quality targets.
- Adhere to all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment and safe handling of materials.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient work area within the production environment.
Essential Skills
- At least 6 months of industrial painting experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with spray painting techniques for metal or similar surfaces.
- Experience with powder coat painting processes and equipment.
- Ability to perform basic machine cycling and follow equipment operating procedures.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure consistent paint coverage and finish quality.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Capability to work full shifts on your feet and handle the physical demands of an industrial painting role.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Halifax, PA.
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
