CT Scan Technologist I - Outpatient - FT - Day - Foulk Road

The ChristianaCare Foulk Road location is currently recruiting for a Full-Time CT Scan Technologist I. Shift: 7:30a - 4p and other hours as needed. Weekends as required. RESPONSIBILITIES: Demonstrates complete knowledge and proficiency in the use of CT Scanner Units, radiology supported computer systems and CD Burners. Performs CT procedures and quality control as defined by department guidelines. Maintains compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in ACR and state licenses. Complies with Joint Commission regulations. Completes all technical assigned imaging and non-imaging procedures in the designated scheduled times. Enters accurate patient study information into the clinical care systems. Assist with the coordination of workflow and patient care activities. Obtain clinical history regarding reason for examination and obtains appropriate consent. Verifies insurance pre-authorization as defined by departmental protocols prior to scanning patient. Uses 3 patient identifiers at all times Maintains patient confidentially. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Completion of a two-year program in Radiologic Technology is required. Completion of ARRT registry in CT scan required (achieved within two years of hire). State Licensure on Radiation Protection is as required. Completion of formal and/or on the job training on cross sectional anatomy. Certification in CPR. An associate’s degree is preferred for this position. Yearly PEEPS certification required for proper and safe positioning and transfer of patients. Completion of IV training course. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: State Licensure on Radiation Protection if applicable The successful completion of the CT Registry exam is a job requirement. A technologist, who is recruited and non-certified, will have a grace period of 2 years following hire to pass this exam. Completion of IV training course. This position pays $37.38 to $51.40 based on experience. This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
