Prosthetic and Orthotic Assistant, Certified

Role Overview: An ABC certified assistant participates in comprehensive orthotic and prosthetic care under indirect supervision of a licensed orthotist and/or prosthetist. Key Responsibilities Implement established treatment plans, including data acquisition, material selection, fabrication, and prototype development. Conduct evaluations, diagnostic fittings, gait and functional training, and patient education. Modify and maintain orthoses and prostheses, document patient encounters, and assess treatment outcomes. Assist in developing long-term care plans, ensuring adherence to legal and safety standards. Promote professional growth through continuing education, research, and community engagement. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Certified Prosthetic-Orthotic Assistant (CPOA) credential through ABC. #J-18808-Ljbffr Azza HealthCare Agency
