Senior Mixed Signal Design Validation Engineer

Join us at the forefront of technological advancement.As a member of our Mixed Signal Design Validation team, you will be responsible for the bring-up and characterization of high-speed mixed-signal circuits, in addition to performing system validation of electro-optical transceivers. The ideal candidate will take full ownership of developing and implementing tests, debugging unexpected bugs, and generating meaningful analysis from lab data of high-speed interfaces and modules.What you'll be doing:Build validation test suites for high-speed I/Os and the analog circuitsConduct detailed characterization of analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit blocks across process, voltage, and temperature variations, and correlate the data with simulationsLead and drive the debugging of technically challenging issues by devising creative solutions to sophisticated problemsProvide feedback to analog circuit designers regarding silicon performance, design quality, and marginsBuild and run test scripts to optimize overall system performanceLead focused discussions with cross-functional teams both within and outside the company to optimize the performance of mixed-signal circuitsDevelop tools and scripts to support electrical characterization and chip bring-up activitiesTake ownership for training new engineers in validation practicesWhat we need to see:A BS degree or equivalent experience with 8 years experience or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills are essentialHighly adaptable to time-sensitive, critical issuesExperience in silicon bring-up, debugging, and the use of lab instrumentation is requiredAbility to work in a fast paced environment involved with multiple bring-ups of chips and systemsIn-depth technical knowledge of fundamental analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuitsAbility to write scripts for validation, debugging, data analysis, and automationProficiency in Python, Git, MATLAB, and JMPWays to stand out from the crowd:Comprehensive understanding of multi-protocol SerDes architectureIn-depth understanding of measurement theory and test instrumentsKnowledge of optical transceiver performance is a plusNVIDIA is renowned as the leader in AI computing and one of the world’s most innovative and desirable employers.
