Remote Medical Billing Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in a fully remote capacity. This individual will play a critical role in supporting billing operations, ensuring claims are processed accurately, compliantly, and in a timely manner.

This is an immediate opening, and medical billing experience is strictly required. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment while maintaining high productivity and accuracy standards.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Prepare, review, and submit medical claims to insurance providers with a high degree of accuracy

Perform follow-up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve billing discrepancies

Ensure compliance with healthcare billing regulations and payer requirements

Manage billing workflows within the NextGen Office system

Maintain accurate patient billing records and documentation

Communicate with internal teams and, when needed, insurance payers to resolve issues

Monitor claim status and ensure timely reimbursement

Skills and Requirements

Medical billing experience is required - no exceptions

Experience with OBGYN billing

Hands-on experience with medical billing and/or medical coding processes

Experience using NextGen Office (required)

Ability to work full-time in a fully remote environment with reliable internet

Strong understanding of billing compliance standards and insurance processes

High attention to detail with strong organizational skills Prior experience working in a remote or independent work environment
