Investment Analyst

RETS on behalf of our client, a leading global real estate investment manager, is seeking an investment analyst in San Francisco, CA to provide analytical support to the investments team across acquisitions, dispositions, and due diligence for commercial real estate investments. The analyst will gain exposure to high-volume, high-quality deal flow in a fast-paced environment across all asset types and risk profiles.

Responsibilities:

Build and analyze financial models to evaluate investment opportunities
Prepare cash flows and assess returns across acquisitions and developments
Assist in developing investment memoranda for investment committee review
Conduct market research, lease analysis, and financial analysis to support underwriting
Prepare presentation materials, including PowerPoint decks for internal stakeholders
Abstract and interpret commercial lease and loan documents
Track market data, leasing trends, and comparable transactions
Partner with brokers, sellers, and internal teams to evaluate deal assumptions and risks
Support financial analysis related to asset dispositions

Requirements:

1–2 years of direct real estate investment modeling experience (acquisitions, investment sales, REPE, or advisory)
Strong proficiency in Excel and Argus
Strong technical underwriting skills and analytical skills
Solid understanding of real estate finance and capital markets
Proactive, self-starter with the ability to take initiative
Bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, accounting, or a related field required
Prior commercial real estate transaction experience preferred

Compensation: Base in the lower 100s plus 50-100% bonus, commensurate with experience
