Registered Nurse (RN)- Pediatric OR

Schedule- Five 8 hour shifts M-F plus call and off shift obligations The UH Cleveland Medical Center Pediatric Operating Room is looking for Registered Nurses interested in joining their team. Benefits include: competitive hourly rate + $5.25 elevated hourly rate, PTO, bridging, up to $10,000 sign-on bonus, tuition reimbursement after six months, and free parking.

Do you have the unique "calling" to become an OR Nurse? The Perioperative Nursing Program may be the right choice for you! This 15 week full-time paid program, is designed to teach RNs the scrub and circulating role in the Operating Room with the expectation of a long-standing career in an OR setting. The Perioperative Program provides classroom lecture, skill development during mock surgeries and precepted clinical experiences that are integrated to facilitate your success. Following successful program completion, orientation and training continues as you gain knowledge and skills in other clinical OR specialties. Our next cohort starts July 13, 2026!

A brief overview provides safe, efficient, age-specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.

What you will do:

• Implements the nursing process by delivering effective relationship-based nursing care.
• Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes.
• Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations.
• Develops self and contributes to the professional practice of nursing.
• Displays leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes.

Additional responsibilities include performing other duties as assigned, complying with all policies and standards, and must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain protected health information (PHI) for our patients.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Required) or Master in Nursing (Required)
• Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Knowledge of nursing process and practice. (Required proficiency) Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (ie. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices. (Required proficiency)
• Licenses and Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required Upon Hire) and Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required Upon Hire)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit.
