Job Opportunity – Pediatric PACU Registered Nurse – Wisconsin

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Evening/Night shifts, 8/10/12 hour shifts with flexible start times (7:00pm-7:30am or 11:00pm-7:30am). Monday-Friday OR Sunday-Thursday schedule with no on-call required. Weeknight, weekend, and holiday call coverage as needed.

Highlights:

• Provide peri-anesthetic management for complex pediatric surgical and procedural patients in a comprehensive pediatric medical and surgical center
• Work with a varied case mix including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, and adults across multiple specialties including neurosurgery, orthopedics, ENT, general surgery, and more
• 24-hour orientation provided to support your transition into this specialized pediatric PACU role
• Epic EMR system utilized throughout the facility
• Magnet-designated facility with Level One Pediatric Trauma Center designation
• Daily census of approximately 25 patients with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent pediatric PACU experience required
• Wisconsin RN license or active Compact RN license required
• BLS and PALS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Epic charting system experience required
• Travel nursing experience required; must have 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in specialty area
• Must successfully pass telemetry competency exam prior to start (80% passing score with specific criteria for lethal rhythm identification)
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
