Medical screening exam by a qualified medical provider and treatment plan based on assessment. Appropriate drug therapy. Management of critically ill patients. Fully Accredited Stroke Center. Recently added 18‑bed Cardiac Observation Unit that works closely with ED. Multidisciplinary team in the ED includes: ED MD, ED APP, ED RN, C‑RN, Flow Coordinator, Unit Based Educator, RN, ED Paramedics, Patient Care Technicians, Radiology staff, Respiratory staff, Patient Experience, and Patient Access. Responsibilities Facilitate age‑appropriate, culturally and ethnically sensitive care under the supervision of a Professional Registered Nurse and/or Physician. Maintain a safe environment, educate patients and their families, collect information, communicate effectively, and utilize technology. Participate in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the delivery of health care services and tasks. Support patient advocacy, teaching, performance improvement, and oversight of unlicensed personnel. Qualifications Education: H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Work experience: 1 year of experience as a Paramedic preferred. Licenses and Certifications: BCLS (Basic Life Support) coverage on-the‑hire required. ACLS coverage on-the‑hire required. PALS — Pediatric Advanced Life Support; paramedics new to the specialty will complete applicable certifications within 120 days.
