Florida Crystals Corporation is a fully integrated cane sugar company that regeneratively farms sugarcane and rice in South Florida. We own two sugar mills, a sugar refinery, a packaging and distribution center, Florida's only rice mill, a compost facility, and one of the largest renewable power plants in the U.S., which uses sugarcane fiber to generate eco‑friendly energy powering our operations. OVERVIEW Primary responsibility is to operate tractors, implements, and other farm machinery. Operator may also perform general fieldwork related to our operations, participate in trainings, workshops, and staff meetings, and operate machinery safely and effectively. Knowledge of machines, tools, and relevant equipment. Knowledge of processes and procedures in farming. Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in farming. Control operations of equipment. Monitoring gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure machine performance. Diagnosing operating errors and determining corrective action. Identifying the tools and equipment needed for a job. Adjusting machine or vehicle controls precisely. Coordinating two or more limbs while operating equipment. Seeing detail at close range. Recognizing potential problems without necessarily solving them. Seeing details at a distance. Judging relative distances of objects. Listening to and understanding spoken information and ideas. Keeping arms steady while moving or holding objects. Timing movements to anticipate speed or direction changes. Communicating information clearly in speech. Exerting maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects. Bending, stretching, twisting, or reaching with body, arms, and legs. Seeing objects or movements to the side while looking ahead. Seeing under low light conditions. Experience of ploughing, drilling, harvesting (including combining), fertilizing, and maintaining relevant records. Work independently and pay attention to detail. Operate agricultural machinery including tractors, combines, and irrigation systems. Conduct daily equipment inspections and report issues to supervisor. Walk beside or ride on planting machines while in the mechanical planters at specified intervals. Adjust farm machinery and notify supervisors when malfunctions occur. Attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers using bolts and hand tools. Operate equipment used in agricultural production, such as tractors, combines, and irrigation equipment. Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect malfunction. QUALIFICATIONS Valid driving license. Pass background check. Pass physical and drug test. We are an equal opportunity employer.
