Energy Storage Project Engineer (Sacramento, CA)

Job Summary Energy Storage Project Engineer will assist the Project Manager in the administration and coordination of daily operations on a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project site in Sacramento, CA. The role supports safe and high‑quality project delivery, manages quality, documentation, and supply chain tracking, and requires onsite presence with travel as needed. Responsibilities and Duties Lead implementation of the project quality plan. Review, analyze, manage, and resolve field coordination issues with project team members. Perform document control functions during project execution, including submittals and RFIs. Interpret project plans, specifications, and details for subcontractors and craft persons. Coordinate delivery logistics with vendors, tracking onsite material. Collect, maintain, and submit project closeout documentation timely. Ensure all drawing redlines are captured accurately and develop final record drawings for owner submittal. Engage peers, managers, and business partners to share lessons learned and ideas for continuous improvement. Compare detailed project design parameters and major component quantities with estimates, report deviations to the Project Manager and Design Lead before purchase acceptance. Enforce a safety culture by implementing SOLV standards and OSHA policies, procedures, and guidelines. Assist the site management team in promoting company values and representing the organization professionally. Performance Objectives Project documentation complete and up to date. Project quality objectives met. Project supply chain tracked and field team informed of delivery timing, delays, and sequencing changes. Project completed on schedule. Customer/Client satisfaction achieved. Positive project team attitude demonstrated. Improved personal professional growth and education. Minimum Skills or Experience Strong computer and organizational skills. Effective communication with diverse populations. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Ability to work, analyze, troubleshoot and prioritize problems independently. Strong knowledge of dispatching methods, techniques, and practices. Effective written and verbal English communication skills. Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and coordinate. Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions Frequent stooping, bending, crouching, reaching, handling, sitting, standing, walking, and lifting 50 or more lbs. Constant finger dexterity and ability to see details at close range and at a distance. Ability to hear, talk, and possess depth perception. Occasional climbing and carrying, proximity to moving mechanical parts, working in high exposed places. Occasional exposure to environmental conditions.
