What You ll Do
Provide specialized care to urology patients, including pre- and post-operative supportAssist with patient assessments and procedure preparationsManage patient documentation and medical records accuratelyRespond to call-ins, perform patient rounding, and discharge planningDocument call-back hours and patient interactions in compliance with policiesSupport hospital procedures such as kidney stones, stent placements, hematuria management, and catheterizationsCollaborate with hospital staff to ensure quality patient care
What You Need
Valid nursing or surgical technician license in MichiganPrior experience in urology or surgical care preferredAbility to respond onsite within 20 minutes during call shiftsStrong documentation skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a team
About the Assignment
This assignment involves comprehensive urological care coverage, including in-house duties and 24-hour call support at a prominent hospital in Marquette, MI. Physicians are not required to stay onsite during call but must be available within 20 minutes for callbacks. The role includes managing inpatient care, patient rounds, and responding to emergent calls, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.
