Position: Travel RN - PCU

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Duration: 13 Week Assignment, 36 Hours per Week

Unit Type: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Number of Beds: 36
Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 9 RNs, 5 Patient Care Technicians
- Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 9 RNs, 4 Patient Care Technicians
Patient Ratios: 4:1 or 5:1
Equipment: Various medical equipment, EMR - Meditech

Qualifications

Required Skills:

Critical thinking skills
EKG interpretation skills

Preferred Skills:

Prior experience with titrating cardiac medications

Typical Procedures

Occasional paracentesis
Occasional thoracentesis

Best Personality Fit

Ideal candidates should be team-oriented and possess strong interpersonal skills.

Required Certifications

BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
