Human Resources ManagerLocation: Connersville, IndianaCompensation: Up to $120,000 base salaryAbout the RoleWorkspire is partnering with a rapidly growing, acquisition-driven manufacturing and infrastructure platform to identify an HR Manager based in Connersville, Indiana.This role will serve as the primary people partner for the Connersville operation, working closely with plant leadership, managers, and employees to support a safe, productive, and engaged workplace. The HR Manager will lead day-to-day site HR operations while helping build consistent, scalable practices across recruiting, employee relations, performance management, compliance, workforce planning, and employee communication.The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR leader who is comfortable moving between the plant floor and leadership conversations and brings sound judgment to a fast-moving manufacturing environment.What You'll DoHR Leadership & Employee Relations• Serve as the primary HR partner for plant leadership, managers, and employees at the Connersville site• Build trusted relationships across hourly and salaried teams through a visible, responsive presence in the operation• Coach managers on performance, attendance, corrective action, conflict resolution, and employee development• Lead workplace investigations and sensitive employee matters with fairness, discretion, and consistency• Help foster a culture of accountability, communication, collaboration, and operational excellenceRecruiting & Workforce Planning• Lead recruiting and hiring for hourly, skilled-trades, plant, and professional roles supporting the site• Partner with plant leaders to anticipate headcount needs tied to production plans, growth, and workforce changes• Build practical talent pipelines through community partnerships, local schools, trade programs, referrals, and other sourcing channels• Strengthen candidate experience, manager communication, selection practices, and onboarding consistency• Use workforce data and hiring activity to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvementHR Operations, Compliance & Programs• Manage core site HR processes, including onboarding, employee records, policy administration, leave coordination, and offboarding• Partner with payroll, benefits, and external providers to maintain accurate employee information and resolve employee questions• Ensure site practices comply with federal, state, and local employment requirements as well as company policies• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to headcount, turnover, attendance, hiring, and employee relations• Support the rollout and adoption of company-wide HR systems, policies, programs, and process improvementsCommunication, Engagement & Change• Communicate policies, programs, and workplace expectations clearly across the site• Support employee engagement, recognition, retention, and development initiatives aligned with plant needs• Act as a bridge between employees, site leadership, and the broader People team• Support organizational change, business growth, and integration activity with practical, people-centered solutionsWhat We're Looking For• 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including meaningful responsibility for employee relations and site-level HR operations• Professional fluency in English and Spanish required, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages across written and verbal settings• Experience supporting a manufacturing, industrial, distribution, construction, or similar operational workforce strongly preferred• Demonstrated experience partnering with both hourly and salaried employee populations• Strong background in employee relations, investigations, performance management, recruiting, compliance, and manager coaching• Ability to operate independently, prioritize competing needs, and follow through in a lean, fast-paced environment• Practical knowledge of HR systems, payroll and benefits processes, employee records, and workforce reporting• Strong judgment, empathy, communication skills, and the ability to build credibility at every level of the organization• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred• SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar HR certification preferredWhy This Role Stands Out• Opportunity to lead the people function for a key manufacturing operation within a growing organization• Direct partnership with plant leadership and the VP of People and Culture• Meaningful ownership of employee experience, workforce strategy, and scalable HR practices• Exposure to business growth, organizational change, and potential integration activity• Base salary up to $120,000, based on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time offWorkspire InsightAt Workspire, we partner exclusively with organizations that value experienced leadership, operational discipline, and long term investment in talent.
