Farrell Road, Maricopa, AZ 85239ResponsibilitiesObserve and assess the patient's clinical condition, recognizing, identifying, and interpreting serious situations and immediately deciding and taking appropriate action.Formulate a nursing diagnosis.Develop a plan of care for individual patients by interviewing patients and family members, reviewing the patient's health record and determining the kind of health and physical care required, including discharge planning.Initiate appropriate measures in emergency situations when physicians are not immediately available.Operate and monitor general and specialized nursing equipment utilized in the Ambulatory Care department.Administer therapeutic measures and medications as prescribed by the physician.Plan, provide, and document the teaching of patients and families in preventive curative and rehab measures.Record observations and nursing interventions as well as therapeutic administered measures and the status of coordinated activities between nursing and other professional disciplines.Complete the Indian Health Service required training.Proper and adequate services for patient care shall be in accordance with the standard of nursing practices and shall be equal in quality to services normally performed for the public.RequirementsEducation: Must possess a bachelor's degree in nursing and eligibility under the Superior Academic Achievement provision – OR – possession of a bachelor's degree in nursing and at least one full year of professional nursing experience – OR – possess a diploma or associate degree in professional nursing.
