Job Summary

Seeking a PCIS Engineer (Controls and Instrumentation Engineer) with strong experience in instrumentation and controls design for industrial process plants. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with process instrumentation, PLC/SCADA systems, electrical distribution, control panels, MCCs, VFDs, commissioning, and industrial plant engineering.

Key Skills

• 5+ years of experience as an Instrumentation and Control Design Engineer developing engineering design packages for industrial plants.
• Strong knowledge of process plant instrumentation specification and selection.
• Experience selecting and designing controls and hardware for process monitoring and control.
• Hands-on experience with instrumentation setup, calibration verification, and adjustments.
• Experience with Fisher Valves, Micro Motion Flowmeters, Rosemount Transmitters, E+H Flowmeters/Transmitters, Rockwell control and communication systems, and Allen-Bradley VFDs.
• Experience preparing Instrument Datasheets, I/O Lists, Instrument Lists, Wiring Diagrams, and engineering documentation.
• Knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems for industrial networks.
• Experience with LV electrical distribution, power distribution panels, and MCCs for process plants in compliance with NEC.
• Knowledge of Machine Safety and CAT 3 wiring.
• Knowledge of control panel design in accordance with UL508A.
• Experience with MCCs, VFDs, electrical troubleshooting, and electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E requirements.
• Previous commissioning and validation experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Work onsite as a PCIS Engineer in a process plant environment.
• Develop designs and engineering packages for power and instrumentation installations in industrial plants.
• Define project scope with customers and coordinate with offshore engineering teams to deliver engineering packages.
• Collect required technical inputs from customers to complete engineering designs.
• Coordinate with vendors and construction teams to obtain required design information.
• Participate in design reviews with customers and construction teams and support necessary approvals.
• Support construction and startup activities.
• Lead electrical startup activities for process and packaging equipment.
• Develop and review instrumentation and controls engineering deliverables.
• Support instrumentation selection, control system design, and electrical design activities.
• Support troubleshooting, commissioning, and validation activities as required.
