Manufacturing Support Specialist

What you’ll do: As a Manufacturing Support Specialist, you will be expected to: Communicate with customers: Whether the issue comes in over the phone, through email or through your regular conversations with the customer, you will be expected to be able to work with them to fully understand the issue and their desired outcome. You must be able to do so in a professional and courteous manner, even in challenging situations. Diagnose the problem: You will use your creative skills and a variety of remote support tools to analyze the customer’s system and determine the cause of the technical problem. Fix the problem: Once the problem has been determined, you will either fix the issue if it is within your capabilities or gather the resources necessary to solve the issue and hand it off to the internal team. Follow up: Regardless of who fixed the issue, it is the responsibility of the reporting specialist to follow up with the customer to ensure satisfaction with the outcome. Record everything: You will work with internal reporting systems to record and manage all issues. Emergency support: Optimation provides 24 emergency support to our customers. You will be required, on a rotating basis, to be on call to support after hours customers. While this is not optional, being on call and taking support calls off hours are compensated activities beyond normal salary.
