Registered Nurse - Pediatric Otolaryngology

Pediatric Nurse

Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care to pediatric patients in the Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery outpatient setting. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required. Provides nursing care for patients with more complex needs with appropriate assistance and supervision and assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team. Demonstrates effective communication, teamwork, professionalism, and sensitivity in interactions with patients, families, and colleagues while adhering to established safety, infection control, privacy, and quality standards.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum two (2) years of recent Registered Nurse clinical experience
• Minimum one (1) year of Pediatric Otolaryngology experience as a Registered Nurse.
• This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
• This applies to both adult and pediatric registered nurse functions in the outpatient clinical settings at all UCSF Health sites (Parnassus, Mt. Zion, joint UCSF health partnerships, Satellite Clinics, or with UCSF Faculty at other off-site clinic sites, et al).

Preferred Qualifications:

• BSN

Licensure/Certification

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
• Current healthcare provider CPR certification
