Description:
Zoox is seeking a project manager to support manufacturing test development efforts. In this role, you will collaborate with the Zoox procurement team and external vendors to ensure necessary parts for building testers are in inventory. You will serve as the bridge between test engineers and tester builds, keeping inventory on hand, organizing spare parts, and ensuring that long lead items are procured in advance of builds.
The Test and Diagnostics Engineering (TDE) team is responsible for test solutions ranging from component testing at contract manufacturers to manufacturing testing for robots at the robotaxi manufacturing facility. Product responsibilities include the sensor stack, control boards, compute units, and the full robotaxi platform. The team operates out of Foster City and Hayward, with responsibilities distributed across both sites.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure required parts for tester builds (power supplies, communication modules, PCs, racks, and custom equipment) are ordered and delivered on time
• Build a system to manage inventory; take ownership of storage and check-in/check-out of equipment
• Participate in the budgeting process to ensure all required parts are represented, with focus on cost and quantities
• Manage on-hand inventory to maintain safety stock for upcoming builds and spare part availability
• Work closely with the Zoox procurement team and vendors to ensure delivery schedules are met

Qualifications:

• AA/AS degree in engineering or Supply Chain Management
• 3+ years of industry experience in a similar role managing inventory for an electronics lab
• Some knowledge of manufacturing testing of electronic assemblies
• Excellent communication skills across teams and levels, especially for highlighting parts shortages, providing inventory reports, and forecasting
• Prior experience with contract manufacturers, automotive suppliers, and electronics vendors (e.g., Digikey) is a plus

Bonus Qualifications:

• Proficiency with Google suite, data analysis, Jira
