Job Summary:
Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) located in Corpus Christi, Texas. This full-time night shift position involves providing advanced nursing care to high-acuity patients recovering from cardiothoracic surgery and managing complex clinical scenarios including the use of multiple drips and specialized equipment. The role requires independent practice, clinical judgment, and the ability to coordinate care effectively.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred), current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA), current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA), RN License in state of Texas or Compact License, 1 year of nursing experience in a critical care setting preferred, but new graduates are welcome.
• Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge and recovery experience post-cardiothoracic surgery directly out of the operating room, familiarity with Impella, Balloon Pump, Artic Sun, TABLO XT/ CRRT, and management of high-acuity patients with multiple comorbidities and drips. Previous experience with Epic electronic medical record system is advantageous.
• Additional Information: All newly hired experienced RNs must attend a New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire. Precepting by trained staff and validated onboarding requirements are necessary, including completion of organizational and critical care department-specific competency validations. Completion of annual competency verification is required annually.
