You will discover a culture of teamwork, compassion, and an opportunity for professional growth.POSITION OVERVIEW:The Radiation Therapist administers prescribed radiation therapy treatments under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist and in collaboration with the Medical Physicist, Dosimetrist, nursing staff, and other members of the radiation oncology team. Other responsibilities may include performing patient identification and treatment verification, performing image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT), applying immobilization and positioning devices, performing image matching and target localization according to department protocols, participating in motion-management techniques, monitoring patients during treatment and responds to urgent clinical situations, documenting treatments accurately in the electronic medical record and collaborating with the Radiation Oncologist, Medical Physicist, Dosimetrist, nursing staff, and other members of the oncology team.
