We are seeking a detail-oriented Winery Financial Controller to oversee our financial operations. You will manage full-cycle accounting, wine cost modeling, and financial reporting. This role bridges daily operations with long-term financial strategy. Key Responsibilities Financial Management & Reporting
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- P&L Reports: Analyze profit and loss statements to drive winery profitability.
- Cashflow Management: Monitor, forecast, and optimize weekly and monthly cash flow.
- Cost of Goods Sold (COGS): Calculate true cost per bottle across vintages.
- Inventory Tracking: Account for bulk wine, barrel aging, and dry goods.
- Transactional Oversight: Directly oversee all accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) processes.
- Payroll Processing: Manage end-to-end payroll utilizing the Paychex system.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure accurate reporting for TTB, excise, and sales taxes.
- Experience: 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the wine or beverage industry.
- Software: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop is strictly required.
- Data Analytics: Expert-level mastery of Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, formulas).
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
