Senior Accountant

Search Solution Group is seeking a SeniorAccountant on behalf of our client, a manufacturer of advanced ceramic substrates. This position is responsible for supporting the organization's accounting operations by managing month-end close activities, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Key Responsibilities Job Overview Search Solution Group is seeking a SeniorAccountant on behalf of our client, a manufacturer of advanced ceramic substrates. This position is responsible for supporting the organization's accounting operations by managing month-end close activities, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in general accounting functions within a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations. Process month-end balancing and ensure accurate financial reporting. Analyze general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies. Prepare monthly Standard Reporting Packages for management. Extend customer credit and process wire transfers. Prepare and file multi-state sales tax returns. Review and process employee expense reports. Prepare monthly inventory reports for Inventory Management. Perform accounting responsibilities for related companies as assigned. Maintain accurate financial records and support internal and external audits. Assist with special accounting projects and process improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and applicable financial regulations. Requirements IncludeEducation Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required. Master's degree in Accounting preferred. CPA designation preferred. Experience Previous accounting experience in a corporate or manufacturing environment preferred. Experience with month-end close and general ledger accounting. Experience preparing financial reports and reconciliations. Experience with multi-state sales tax is a plus. Skills General ledger accounting. Financial reporting and analysis. Journal entry preparation and account reconciliation. Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word proficiency. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Attention to detail and accuracy. Written and verbal communication skills. Certifications Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred. Knowledge Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Financial statement preparation. Month-end close processes. Sales tax reporting. Inventory accounting principles. Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
