Software Engineering ManagerThe Software Engineering Manager is responsible for leading and enabling a team of engineers to deliver high-impact products and platforms. This role blends people leadership with technical oversight, ensuring teams build performant, maintainable, and scalable solutions. This role will be located on-site in Appleton, WI with a hybrid schedule (on-site Monday - Thursday, Friday optional remote as business needs allow).Job ResponsibilitiesEssential Job Responsibilities:Lead and grow a team of engineers across backend and frontend domains.Be the champion for Value Delivery Pods with close partnership with Business Stakeholders to focus on execution to value delivery.Collaborate with product, UX, and architecture to define roadmaps and deliver impactful solutions.Provide guidance on technical decisions while enabling team autonomy and growth.Oversee engineering delivery, ensuring code quality, security, and performance standards are met.Implement engineering processes that drive reliability, velocity, and cross-team collaboration.Support career growth through coaching, feedback, and development planning.Additional Job Responsibilities:Partner with recruiting to hire and onboard top engineering talent.Drive team-level technical strategy and operational excellence.Advocate for engineering best practices across the organization.QualificationsRequired:· Proven experience leading software engineering teams.· 5+ years programming experience designing and implementing software solutions.· Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.· Strong technical foundation in both backend and frontend development.· Ability to balance technical leadership with people management.· Experience managing delivery of complex systems.Preferred:· Previous experience scaling teams and platforms in a growing organization.· Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and observability toolsDivision: U.S. AutoForce
