Payroll Specialist
Davis Associates CPA's is seeking a dedicated Payroll Specialist to join our team. As the Payroll Specialist you will play a vital role in maintaining and managing services for various small businesses across the St. Louis area. Your ability to build a strong relationship with your clients is something that will be valued and is the key to success in this position. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end process of payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely payment to all payroll clients. Training will be provided to master our payroll systems, offering valuable skills that are transferable across the financial sector.
Responsibilities
- Managing workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
- Reconciling payroll prior to transmission and validating confirmation reports
- Processing all required tax liabilities, and ensuring that all liabilities are reflected accurately in the financial statements
- Processing accurate and timely quarterly and year-end payroll tax returns and other forms
- Communication with clients to discuss payroll process
Preferred Experience
- Processing payroll for multiple clients
- Experience with payroll taxes and other deductions
- Experience with quarterly and annual payroll tax
- Working knowledge of payroll best practices
- Strong computer skills including Excel

- Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as a team environment
- Ability to analyze payroll issues and provide timely resolutions in a dynamic paced environment
