Job OpportunityAdelphi is seeking Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs) to provide services at two correctional facilities located in Canon City and Denver, Colorado. The ideal candidates will provide substance use disorder services to the inmate population, to include formal and informal behavioral health evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and clinical interventions.Job Quick Facts:Ref #: BD-505-09Profession: Allied HealthSpecialty: Licensed Addiction CounselorLocation: Denver /Canon City, COFacility Type: Correctional facilitiesJob Type: ContractRate: $60Requirements:Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a behavioral health concentration or human services equivalent.1 year of behavioral health treatment experience in a drug and alcohol program, mental health program, or sex offender program.Active CO licenseResponsibilities:Serve as consultant for unit staff regarding assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.Monitor inmate treatment and documentation to assure compliance with standards and to assure continuity of care.Communicate directly with inmates regarding their behavioral health care such as consequences of maladaptive behavior.Communicate with inmates regarding desired and undesirable effects of prescribed behavioral health medication.Listen to inmate concerns and provide counseling and direction.Communicate and respond to complaints, problems, transfers, classifications, and inmate behavioral management issues.Guide and/or inform staff within the clinical unit, facility, clinical and administrative supervisors, outside agencies to ensure continuity and direction of care.Provide clinical direction to non-clinical staff in behavioral health care and treatment of inmates.Assures continuity of care for inmates by making appropriate referral and providing necessary information and documentation for receiving units, facilities, agencies.Document both handwritten and electronically in an accurate and timely manner to provide comprehensive inmate behavioral health records.Promote and is accountable for the safety and security of the clinical and correctional environment through conscientious observations, and contraband control.Responsible for maintaining standards of the program or work unit through compliance with all applicable professional, organizational and unit standards.Any other duties as assigned.
