Controls Engineer

Our systems encompass over 11 product lines to support manufacturing applications and customers in a wide variety of industries, including automotive, building & construction, consumer products, medical, and packaging.Job ResponsibilitiesCreate PLC programs using ladder editor, function block diagrams, flow charts, etc. for web converting equipment and associated functionsDesign and develop HMI applicationsDesign and review PLC network architectureAC/DC drives configurationIntegration of Legacy drives, controls and equipmentSupport the creation of technical product documentation and informationIn-house testing of software and systemsProvide on-site assistance during system start-up and commissioningRemote and on-site customer supportAssist Sales with pre-study analysis and reportsInteract with customers as requiredWork closely with team members to complete projects and assignmentsOther responsibilities assigned by managerAwareness of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, EHS&S programsSkills/RequirementsBSEE or MSEE with Controls backgroundMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in engineeringKnowledge of AC/DC drive systems, PCs, Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens PLCPrevious experience with AutoCad, PLCs, AC and DC Drive systems and Supervisory control systemsStrong understanding of industrial controls networksWeb handling and converting equipment experience is preferred, but not a requirementProblem solving skillsStrong communication skills, both verbal and written requiredStrong technical aptitude and good analytical skills; organized and detail oriented30% travel is required; this includes North-America and international travelExperience with the following computer related skills:Windows, Word, ExcelIndustrial programming software such as:Ladder LogicControl Block DiagrammingHMI configuration softwareDrives interface/programming softwareTravel RequiredYes.
