Explore and specify innovative AI-driven solutions, focusing on cutting-edge technologies like Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Large Language Models. Develop prototypes, Proof of Concepts (PoCs), and new functionalities to demonstrate feasibility and value of AI applications. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to research, design, and evaluate novel AI solutions enhancing BMW's in-vehicle and mobility experience. Contribute to securing fundamental Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) relevant to future BMW products and services. Share insights and findings within the international research community to shape BMW's global AI strategy and influence future research directions. Scout emerging technologies and integrate advanced AI techniques into prototype systems and future system architectures. Support strategic decision-making by providing valuable insights, enabling understanding of AI technologies, and influencing R&D and Centers of Competence (CoCs).

Master's degree in electronics, computer science or related field. Proficiency in programming languages relevant to AI, Machine Learning and Application Development (e.g. Python, PyTorch / TensorFlow, LangChain, LangFlow, Kotlin or similar). Confident in presenting and defending technical solutions to internal and external teams. Excellent communication skills. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to abstract and break down complex problems in manageable portions. Experience in building and running Cloud Applications (MLOps). At least one year of relevant professional experience in the tech industry or a related field. Relocation assistance is available for this position. In support of BMW Group's business objectives, this position requires regular onsite attendance at a BMW office/facility with remote work capability (hybrid).

The selected candidate's education, skills, experience, and location will be used to determine the final salary offer. All pay ranges are based on a full-time work schedule.
