Summary Develops anesthesia care plans in collaboration with a physician. Provides IV sedation, monitored anesthesia care, and general, regional or local anesthesia for surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, or therapeutic procedures. Monitors patients accurately and performs CPR, ventilation or life support measures during emergencies throughout the Medical Center. Manages patients’ physiological condition under anesthesia and initiates corrective actions as needed or directed by a physician. Assists with other departmental duties as requested by the Manager of Anesthesiology. Benefits Sign‑on bonus up to $75,000 and relocation included* Responsibilities Perform pre‑anesthetic evaluation and preparation. Prepare the OR Suite for all types of anesthesia. Administer, manage, and monitor anesthesia care during induction, maintenance, and emergence. Provide post‑anesthesia care and evaluation. Certifications and Licensures ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support BLS: Basic Life Support RN: Registered Nurse CRNA: Certified RN Anesthetist NBCRNA: National Board CRNA Education Required: Nurse Anesthetist. Education Specialization: NURSE ANESTETIST. Other Duties and Responsibilities Takes appropriate safety precautions to insure the safe administration of anesthesia care. Identifies opportunities for improving quality, including patient outcomes and operational efficiency within the Department. Provides clinical support to other departments within the Medical Center. May be required to participate in further learning opportunities presented by the employer. Experience, Training and Skills Written, organizational, and interpersonal skills needed to communicate successfully with individuals and groups. Demonstrates the ability to perform basic and advanced anesthesia skills including adult and pediatric venipuncture, arterial line insertion, medication calculation and effects, sterile technique, airway maintenance, and administration of regional anesthetics. Compliance with all Medical Center policies and practices. Physical/Mental Requirements and Typical Working Conditions Exposure to stressful situations, including public contact, trauma, grief, and death. Ability to wear personal protective equipment (latex or substitutes). Ability to move freely, including without an assisted device. Requires vision and hearing necessary for the job. Requires sitting/standing/walking for long periods. Exposure to bloodborne pathogens; must comply with testing. Ability to handle multiple tasks, work independently, maintain attendance, and stay alert. Dexterity required for handling, reaching, and repeating movements. Physical Demand Level Medium. Must lift or carry 21‑50 lbs. occasionally, frequently 20 lbs., and constantly 10 lbs. while walking/standing; push/pull of arm/leg controls. #J-18808-Ljbffr
