Software Engineer

Software EngineerParamount Skydance Corp is seeking a Software Engineer to build AI-powered tools, backend services, and internal platforms that support the Global Quality Engineering organization. This is not an "in test" role — you will be developing production-grade software that accelerates test creation, triage, analysis, and automation workflows across GQE. You will contribute to intelligent systems that improve engineering efficiency and modernize how quality engineering is performed at scale.Key Responsibilities:Build backend services, CLIs, and internal tools that integrate AI capabilities into GQE workflows.Implement features for AI-assisted test generation, log summarization, and defect triage.Contribute to RAG pipelines, embeddings workflows, and LLM-powered utilities under senior guidance.Integrate AI tooling into CI/CD pipelines and existing automation frameworks.Collaborate with QE, Platform, and Data Engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver practical solutions.Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews and engineering best practices.Qualifications:2+ years of software engineering experience (Java, Kotlin, Python, or similar).Experience building backend services, APIs, or internal tools.Familiarity with LLMs, embeddings, or AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, etc.).Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).Strong problem-solving skills and interest in AI-driven engineering.Key Competencies:Curiosity and willingness to learn AI-driven engineering.Proficient coding fundamentals and attention to detail.Collaboration and communication across engineering teams.Ownership of assigned features and components.Success Metrics:Delivery of reliable features within AI tooling platforms.Improved triage and test-creation efficiency for GQE teams.Positive feedback from internal users on usability and impact.High code quality and consistent contribution to team velocity.What We Offer:Attractive compensation and comprehensive benefits packages.Generous paid time off.An exciting and fulfilling opportunity to be part of one of Paramount's most dynamic teams.Opportunities for both on-site and virtual engagement events.Unique opportunities to make meaningful connections and build a vibrant community, both inside and outside the workplace.Paramount is an equal opportunity employer (EOE) including disability/vet.
