Responsibilities In this role you will provide exceptional service to hotel guests, escorting arriving and departing guests in a friendly and courteous manner to and from their accommodations, handling luggage, and maintaining the highest level of customer service. Read and match luggage tags, write claim tickets, and detach portions to give to guests Escort customers to accommodations, visually inspect rooms, and acquaint guests with their rooms and features Organize and store luggage as necessary in a designated area Respond to guest inquiries and requests accurately, timely, friendly, and efficiently regarding all hotel services and the local area Notify management or leadership of any relevant feedback from guests or other departments Be on time for every scheduled work day Maintain a neat and clean appearance and remain in complete uniform before and during scheduled shifts Assist supervisors and managers with additional duties as assigned Qualifications Education/Experience: Less than high school education or up to one month related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Availability: Ability to work required shifts (2nd, 3rd, or week‑ends) as needed. License: Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record, if required to operate company vehicles. Language skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, write simple correspondence, and present information in one‑on‑one and small group settings. Reasoning ability: Apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions and solve standardized problems. Other skills: Use of a clock (standard/military time), maintain a pleasant professional demeanor when interacting with guests, and respond effectively to customer problems or complaints. Physical Demands Employees regularly use hands and fingers and communicate with customers and team members. They frequently sit, reach with hands and arms, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, turn, stretch, and bend. They must lift and move up to 75 pounds and work at a relatively quick pace. Specific vision abilities include close and peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus. Salary $10.00–$12.00 per hour (+ tips). Eligible employees may earn tips in addition to the posted hourly rate.
