Operations & Maintenance ManagerThe Operations & Maintenance Manager provides leadership, direction, and oversight for all plant operations and maintenance activities to ensure the safe, reliable, environmentally compliant, and efficient operation of the generating facility. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this role is responsible for driving operational excellence, maximizing equipment reliability and availability, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company standards.Safety, Environmental & Regulatory ComplianceChampion a strong safety culture and ensure all work is performed in a safe, professional, and environmentally responsible manner.Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental, safety, operational, and regulatory requirements.Promote adherence to plant procedures, safe work practices, and industry best practices.Ensure proper use of three-part communication and operational protocols throughout the facility.Lead incident investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives to prevent recurrence.Operations LeadershipDirect daily plant operations to achieve production, reliability, and performance objectives.Monitor plant performance, analyze operating trends, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and availability.Make timely and effective decisions during routine and non-routine operating conditions.Ensure accurate and complete operational records, reporting, and documentation are maintained.Support budgetary objectives through effective management of plant resources and operational costs.Maintenance ManagementDevelop, coordinate, and oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.Plan and manage maintenance outages to maximize plant availability and reliability.Develop detailed outage schedules, including scope development, manpower requirements, resource allocation, cost estimates, and task assignments.Coordinate with internal teams and contractors to ensure safe and successful execution of maintenance activities.Drive continuous improvement initiatives using structured change management processes and maintenance best practices.Team Leadership & DevelopmentLead, mentor, and develop operations and maintenance personnel to build a highly skilled, engaged, and accountable workforce.Establish performance expectations and provide coaching, training, and ongoing feedback.Foster a collaborative, team-oriented, multi-disciplinary work environment.Ensure staffing levels, qualifications, and training requirements support operational needs.Promote employee development and succession planning initiatives.Vendor & Stakeholder ManagementDevelop and maintain effective relationships with key suppliers, contractors, and service providers.Monitor contractor performance to ensure quality, safety, schedule, and budget expectations are met.Collaborate with plant leadership and corporate stakeholders to achieve operational and strategic objectives.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field; ORTechnical degree/diploma or high school diploma/GED with a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant power generation or industrial operations experience.5+ years of leadership experience in power generation, industrial operations, or a related plant environment.Strong knowledge of power plant operations, maintenance practices, and reliability principles.Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and drive operational results.Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and computerized maintenance/operations systems.Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and schedules.Preferred QualificationsExperience with GE Frame 7EA and/or 7FA gas turbines.Experience with GE Mark VI and Mark VIe control systems.Combined-cycle or simple-cycle power generation experience.Experience leading major maintenance outages and turnaround activities.Working ConditionsPosition is based on-site at the plant facility in Sandersville, GA.Must be able to work in industrial environments with varying temperatures, noise levels, and weather conditions.Requires standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, kneeling, bending, twisting, and accessing plant equipment for inspection and operational activities.May be required to work extended hours, nights, weekends, holidays, and respond to plant emergencies as needed.Occasional travel may be required.Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety footwear.Regular exposure to rotating, energized, and heavy industrial equipment.Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment as needed to perform job responsibilities.$155,000 - $165,000 a yearApplicants must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record, as this position requires occasional travel for company business.
