PROJECT MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

DutiesServes as a professional advisor providing analysis and assessment of enterprise-wide DFAS Initiatives, projects, programs, or portfolios with strategic, enterprise, or tactical impacts relative to the agency strategy.Adheres to the established DFAS Project Management Standards, including guides, templates and checklists, and tools. Prepares, updates, and provides training on the DFAS Project Management Principles, as needed.Identifies actual or potential risk areas or issues areas with current projects within the Agency. Prepares senior executive level briefings, and briefs senior executives.Provides expert development and execution of project management plans, including project charters, risk management plans, communication plans, and change management plans.Leads teams of various disciplines in strategy related project management discussions or planning sessions (scope, objective setting, etc.), business case analysis support, and any ad hoc support requirements for DFAS.Provides expert development and execution of work breakdown structures and project schedules using MSMS Office 365, including MS Project Professional.
