The Product Owner will be responsible for maintaining the backlog, running sprints, and delivering releases. They will work with the engineering leads to define and maintain metrics to track the effectiveness of the development team. They will work with the QA team to ensure that product releases are high quality and will proactively communicate with all stakeholders to make the releases of our products smooth and seamless.Primary ResponsibilitiesMaintain prioritized backlogs that balance roadmap features, tech debt, bug fixes and customer ticketsWork with customer support to resolve issuesCommunicate regularly with the Product Manager about roadmap progress, team capacity, and risks to meeting the goalsWrite tickets with clear and complete acceptance criteriaSchedule and facilitate team events, such as standup, refinement, planning, demo, and retroSet objectives for the team that reflect current product prioritiesCollaborate with the development leads and Product Manager to set release datesWork with QA and development to ensure complete and efficient development and testingMaintain team metrics and prioritize automation to improve the development processesOwn the release process by ensuring quality requirements are met, preparing internal teams, delivering documentation, and scheduling the release.RequirementsExperience as a scrum master or product ownerAgile development expertisePrevious experience with enterprise software productsExcellent communication skillsExcellent prioritization and coordination skillsAdditional SkillsAccessibility knowledge and experience would be a plus.Developer tools knowledge and experience would be a plus e.g., command line applications, APIs, git, GitHub/GitLab, Continuous Integration toolsAbout DequeDeque (pronounced dee-cue) is a web accessibility software and services company, and our mission is Digital Equality.
