Management Accountant

DescriptionJeff Abrams with Robert Half is in search for a Management Accountant. ResponsibilitiesOversee general ledger activity and manage all close cycles (monthly, quarterly, and annual) for the management entityReview and prepare accounting entries, reconciliations, and related documentation to support financial accuracyEnsure proper allocation of expenses across entities, investment vehicles, and cost structures in alignment with governing agreementsMaintain and improve accounting processes, policies, and internal control frameworksAct as the main liaison for the external accounting service providerReview invoice processing, account coding, and payment runs handled by the external providerMonitor timeliness, accuracy, and compliance with established approval processesConduct periodic vendor reviews and address discrepancies or irregularitiesAssess service performance and recommend process improvements for outsourced functionsCompile quarterly financial reporting packages and supporting analysisAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance reviews related to operating expensesDeliver financial insights and analysis to leadership to support decision-makingCollaborate on system enhancements and reporting improvementsContribute to cross-functional efforts and ad hoc projects as the organization growsRequirementsDegree in Accounting or related fieldProfessional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plusSeveral years of progressive experience in accounting rolesSolid understanding of accounting standards and close processesExperience coordinating with third-party accounting or payables providersStrong skills in review, internal controls, and vendor oversightHigh level of organization and attention to detailAbility to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretionBackground in investment-related, financial services, or professional services environments preferredExposure to management entity structures and fund-related accounting conceptsJob typePerm
